As most of you know, 2020 has been a crazy year. I was pushing hard at the beginning of the year for what should have been my first attempt at a 140.6 at IronMan Texas in April. And then COVID happened. When the race was cancelled, I was pretty disappointed but continued to train. August and September came in with a lot of havoc that greatly impacted my training schedule. With everything that has gone on, it has been hard to keep focused on training. This week, I’m back on the bike and ready to make another go of it. Situations can’t make us stop moving forward. As my favorite verse of Scripture says, “Rejoice not against me, oh my enemy. When I fall, I shall arise….” Trials, setbacks and disappointment are not the end. I’m going to get back in the saddle and keep moving.
