Here we are, finally at the close of 2019. In 2020, there will be many firsts for me as I compete in my first Ironman. I’ve been blessed with several friends, neighbors, and family members over the years that have been involved in the sport and have given me guidance along the way. My primary goal for triathlon in 2020 is to competing and finish at least one full Ironman in less than 14 hours. I’ve been training fairly consistently over the last 6-9 months and should be well on the way to meeting that goal at Ironman Texas on April 25th, 2020.
As I ramp up my training in the coming weeks, I will attempt to log the highs and lows that come along with the training. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the writing and perhaps I can motivate you to try something new that you didn’t think possible!
